Why I Created the CodeBreakthrough Vault

After teaching tech for over 10 years and doing 1:1 mentoring, I've curated a set of skills and attributes that every engineer needs to get the most out of their life and career.

These were the principles I taught in my 1:1 mentorship program to help people land software engineering roles and get promoted to senior software engineers. I provided these engineers core transformations in their mindset, skill, and career.

With mentoring I provided a customized roadmap to help people succeed, but I continually found that there was a core set of skills, attributes, and approaches lacking in people. These gaps were usually the most important things needed for people to find success. People came to me for help because they've had no success on their own, because they were prioritizing the wrong things and missing major gaps that would propel them forward.

These core competencies are most likely to guarantee an individual's success, regardless of where they are in their journey. As a result of this discovery, I now make sure everybody I work with goes through training on these core competencies to strengthen their foundation and supercharge their progress.

So why release this as a course? People going through my courses were missing some of the most valuable lessons that are harder to teach in course form. However, after a year of refining these lessons, I've isolated the most important competencies and curated them in such a way that you can get the same results as 1:1 mentoring.
